Range
of self drilling fasteners for fixing timber and other
similar materials to steel. Manufactured from low carbon
cold forming steel and case hardened, with a minimum 8
micron coating. Wings positioned just after the drill point
ream a clearance hole through the timber, preventing thread
engagement. These wings break off when they come into contact
with the steel.
Heads are countersunk and ribbed for easier self embedding.

Where thicker timbers need be fixed timber can be countersunk.
Where steel is thinner then 1.5mm or Tactray systems see batten to deck range.
Manufactured from low carbon cold forming steel and case hardened, with a minimum 8 micron coating.

Above 6.0mm steel, limiting factor is tensile strength of fastener.
Pullover
This is normally the limiting factor and is dependent on
the material being fixed.
Note: All figures are average test results and are ultimate failure loads; No safety factor has been used.
Range of fasteners for fixing timber battens to steel sheets
including applications such as "TacTray90" or "Trustray"
systems.
Fasteners have a ribbed countersunk head above a self drill point complete with reaming wings, which have been designed to break off in steel sheet as thin as 0.7mm. These wings prevent thread engagement thus eliminating "jacking" of the timber.
Material Specification
High quality case hardened carbon steel to Din 7504
Coating
Carbon steel electroplated with zinc clear dichromate passivation
for a corrosion resistant finish.

Please note all figures are ultimate failure loads and no safety factor has been used. Figures are based on results obtained from tests carried out in accordance with equipment conforming to BS5427 on a random sample of fasteners.
It is recommended that unusual, critical, or demanding applications be tested individually.
