A range of self drilling fasteners for fixing Composite/Bonded panels to light, heavy steels or timber. A coarse thread just under the head, which is of a larger diameter than the rest of the fastener, stitches the top sheet under the washer of the fastener. This gives a resistance to the sheet pulling away from the washer.
A 19mm diameter Bonded washer with a 3mm EPDM backing is recommended for roof applications and a 16mm washer with 2mm EPDM can be used for side wall applications. A 29mm washer with 3mm EPDM backing is used for rooflight's.
Valley fixing is normally recommended as Crown fixing can cause sheet distortion but Sheet manufacturers fixing recommendations should be adhered to.

The above codes are for fixings assembled with 19mm Bonded washer. For 16mm Bonded washer change 19BW to 16BW and for 29mm Bonded washer change to 29BW. For fixings without a washer remove 19BW from the code.

To prevent outer sheet from separating from the washer, a high stitching thread, with a larger diameter than the rest of the fastener, stitches the sheet under the washer. Because insulation can shrink (up to 20%) this high thread will keep the roof watertight, allowing for light roof traffic for maintenance purposes over a prolonged period. |
Ultimate compressive resistance value of HT fastener excluding insulation resistance for 0.7mm outer steel sheet:
326lbs (1.4kN)
